Mall Day

We had a productive day at the mall. I love a good day shopping. We actually came out ahead this time. I had a tea light chandelier from Yankee Candle that Keith decided he didn't like after we got it home, so we returned it. Then we headed to Circuit City and exchanged the Zune Keith got me for Christmas for the equivalent iPod (both 8 GB and pink). It was just such a pain in the rear to try to work with the Zune when Hannah had the iPod. The two can't use the same music files -- at least not simply. That was an even exchange.

We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory where I had a "small salad". Holy cow, it was like an entire head of lettuce. I asked the server what the large salads were like and he laughed at me. He said those were REALLY big. I thought I would try to hold back a little, even though everything on the menu sounded good, because I had plans for a piece of cheesecake. I brought most of it home. It's probably more sugar than I've had in the past 3 months. My body would have freaked out.

Please keep my college roomie, Heather, in your prayers and send some positive thoughts towards Cary, NC. She was hospitalized late Wednesday because of a botched gall bladder surgery 5 years ago. The complications have come back to haunt her again and she is not doing well. They have her on a course of antibiotics right now and her mom updated me late this afternoon and said they are waiting for her MRI results to see if they would need to do surgery or if they would just wait things out a while longer and send her home.

Hugs for your friend Heather. I hope she heals well and can avoid surgery.
