Ahhhh Wednesday

Well, I had several things go awry with my computer/printer yesterday and ended up having to go to SC early to do my critique. I left my journal submission on the printer at home in my haste and didn't send it to myself on e-mail as I usually do. I had barely enough time to get the critique done and didn't have time to do the journal entry a second time. Luckily, she said I can bring it next week. I got extra credit for going to the Latta Plantation on Monday, and I got back good grades on everything that I had turned in to this point.

We got back all of our papers yesterday. I have 3 different papers due next Tuesday, one is my research paper. I would normally be pacing myself and trying to break it down to some degree, but it has been almost impossible because I have two writing assignments due each week. The research is supposed to be about a social/cultural conflict in NC and how it was resolved, etc. I really don't have a clue what I'm going to do. I haven't really paid attention to what happened in NC. I barely know what channels are the major networks yet to watch the local news! I will figure it out.

Regardless, today is Wednesday and it's the FIRST day since Hannah got out of school that I don't have something to "do". "A's" grandmother talked about taking the girls to the movies after lunch, so I may go ahead and work on the research paper then, but it's just so nice to not have someplace to rush off to. Granted, there are a million things that I should do, and maybe I will get around to some of it.

Sharlene made it home safely.

I gave up on my search for finding two white wicker rocking chairs for my porch. I got new cushions for the furniture that used to be in the screened in room with the hot tub in Lakeland. The one for the "couch" wasn't big enough, but just having the two chairs out front is enough. It's not a perfect fit, and they aren't as thick as the previous cushions, but the price for cushions was a lot better than for new chairs.

Good news about the grades! WTG! The chairs look great.

I hope you enjoy your "nothing to do" day. Isn't it funny how nothing to do turns into too much to do??
