Touching base

Whew, so much for doing tidying between work and picking up Hannah. I just got in the house to take a breather and have to leave again in 10 minutes. I ended up working late today, which is fine just busy.

Figured I'd take a moment to jot some more good news that I received on the commute home (during rush hour, my drive becomes a full fledged commute). We had problems with the spa since Keith ordered it and even more after it arrived. Keith was notified today that the arbitration is over and his credit card company is crediting him the full amount as they have decided in our favor. We are still "out" a lot of money in having it moved here, paying for other spa company owners to come look at it to give a professional evaluation to provide to the credit card company, and not to mention the time and aggravation, but it's finally over and the company can figure out how they want to pick up their defective product at this point. It's a sad lesson in making a major purchase online, especially from a company that does not have a local office, and it will be a long time before we ever do something like that again.

This whole week has flown by. Tomorrow won't be much different with all that is going on. It has been a strange day for me today though. Lots of hurry up and wait type of scenarios. For whatever reason, I overslept and woke up at 7:45 (don't know if Keith didn't set the alarm clock for me or if I turned it off unintentionally - that never happened before), but I still managed to get Hannah off to the bus. As a just in case, I was almost ready to head to work by 8 so I could drive her to school and head out from there, but it wasn't necessary. That gave me extra time to get to work. Well, somehow I managed to hit every single red light on my way to work today. It was just strange. I'd sit at a red light, drive forward and before I could even pick up speed, the next light would change red. Since the morning was kind of funky, I decided ahead of time that I would go to Dunkin Donuts to get a hot tea and pumpkin muffin (I love those in the fall!). The line was HUGE! I got my tea and headed back out on the road and hit the rest of the red lights. I still arrived to work early, but it was just odd. Then, like I said, I ended up at work late and got stuck in rush hour traffic heading home. Now I get to venture out again to get Hannah from cheer. Hooray!
