Middle School Orientation

We're getting ready to go to Hannah's middle school orientation. It starts at 1 and is a drop in style affair. I told her we would go to get our nails done afterwards. We have reservations for the Melting Pot at 6 pm and will be meeting Keith there after he finishes with work to "celebrate" the start of 6th grade and the end of summer vacation.

She has been having a rough time with the schedule adjustment. Last night she couldn't fall asleep, but I woke her up at 8 anyway. She was miserable. I did (probably a mistake) let her sleep for a bit longer after she experienced the misery of getting up before noon and hoped that would at least show her the true need of getting into a better routine before Monday morning.

Keith's oncologist appointment seemed uneventful. I didn't mention that going to court was a mess. It was hard to get there through the traffic. At least it confirmed my decision to not go in to work before 10 am. Court itself was a long boring wait because the clerk didn't have our file, once that was squared away, it was quick and easy.

Well, here I go! Will let you know how things turn out! Praying she gets some good teachers.
