Happy 5th of July!

We were rained out of our rafting trip. It looked like it was going to be a beautiful day. We arrived at the whitewater center around 2 and Hannah was able to get in some climbing. Their rock walls are the highest in the southeast and can be climbed without using the added holds, but it is very hard. Hannah had a hard time on the last one that had a backwards pitch, but she made it.

We did a little walking and were waiting for our trip talk so we could raft at 5:30 when the skies opened up and downpoured. We waited until around 7 and were given rain checks to try again another day. Hannah was disappointed, but glad that we would be able to go back on another day. Of course, the only place it was raining was at the whitewater center.... After we drove away, it cleared up. We had dinner at Sonny's and then Hannah and Keith went to WalMart to get some last minute fireworks of our own.

Hannah and I both have a dislike for loud noises, so she sat holding her ears for almost everything. She's wearing the 4th of July fireworks shirt she made with her friend Mary while we were in Florida.

What a brave one that Hannah is! Too bad about the whitewater rafting. That too is something I'd like to do one day!
