Keith's Surprise

Well, I didn't finish - there were 5 (2 double spreads and a single) that I wasn't able to finish because of the issues with getting the pictures printed out. For one double page LO and the single, I was able to at least put the cardstock in w/ some embellishments because I knew what I was going to do once I had the photos. So, there was really only one empty spot in the album.

Keith loved it! I told him he needed to sit down on the couch and I had it hidden in my bathrobe. He asked if it was a kitten! lol He saw the first page and liked it, I explained it was a CD in a holder I made and Hannah went and put on the music. He looked at it slowly and got teary eyed. At the end he just had a good cry and said "I love my family" and then later "it's my favorite" (referring to the album). I told him that I had been crying every day working on it and I was just glad to give it to him so maybe I wouldn't cry as much finishing it. He loved the little poem Hannah wrote in the back on the last page.

We had a nice time at his friend Doug's house in TN. We got there late on Friday, about 10:30, and I was wiped out. Even though Hannah was out of school this past week, I have just been in GO mode the whole time, trying to get the album done, trying to clean up, get the house in order and pack for our trip... That day was so incredibly hectic that I was wired.

Thursday we went to Pigeon Forge to a strip outside Dollywood that has a lot of carnival style rides, go carts, and mini golf. We had reservations for the Dixie Stampede (Dolly Parton's dinner show) at 6, but had to be in there around 4:30 for the pre-show. It was good.
After that Hannah and Kaley got to pan for gems after the dads bought them a special bucket that had rocks in it. My asthma and my allergies were affected by the dinner show, so I ended up having some issues and took a benadryl. I was ready for bed when we got home at 10.

We spent Father's Day with Doug's dad. He had a lot of land in the mountains and I loved getting pictures of Hannah and Kaley in one of his cherry trees. He had a few of them and there were lots of cherries everywhere.Cooked out for dinner and got on the road right afterwards.
