Well, it's over the hump. Only 4 more days off, but I will take it! Today, I woke Hannah up at 8 to give her her medicine as I warned her yesterday. She managed to get up though around 9 and we had a mellow morning. We went to IHOP together and then she came home to clean her room. I told her that my only request for her spring break was that she do some spring cleaning, just to move things around in her room so I could vacuum the nooks, crannies and corners. She ended up moving her bed into another position. I'm not crazy about the set up, as I think it leaves her with limited floor space, but I know she did it just for the sake of having something different, so I'm okay with it. Eventually, I may ask her just to move the bed against the wall to open up the floor again, but by then, she may be over the whole thing. She really doesn't "play" in her room, she sits in there and watches TV or sits on her bed and does crafts and whatnot. If she needs room, she typically goes down to the coffee table in the living room, or she could use the loft.
Speaking of the loft, we are going to get a little back on our taxes this year, so I plan to purchase some new furniture for the loft area. The old yellow furniture had definitely seen better days, so I don't feel bad about giving it away, but I miss having something up in that space other than Keith's new eliptical machine thing and Hannah's computer. I'm thinking two upholstered chairs, a loveseat and a chair, or something similar. I wouldn't mind moving our leather loveseat out of the living room downstairs where we are rather cramped with furniture, but Keith always says that we need the seating down there for company when I ask him to help me move it.
If I buy new furniture, I will HAVE to paint! I am ready to start painting over the rest of the builder's paint. All that we have left is the loft, the stairway, and the upstairs hall. Oh, I guess I could paint the laundry room too. I really want to paint something orange. Is that strange? I guess I will have to wait and see what color furniture I pick out. Sofa Express is going out of business, it would be fun to see if they have any good deals.
I told Hannah she could have her two "BFFs" from school over tomorrow to spend the night. I don't know if either of her friends will actually be allowed or not, but I figure we can go ahead and get that last request off the table for her. That will still allow us to have the weekend free with Keith.
She has a horseback riding show on Saturday, but I don't know what time. In her laziness of having the week off, she opted out of horseback riding lessons for the day.
