Productive Tuesday

I got a lot accomplished today, some of it was fun, some of it was necessary, but it was all productive. I started out with a trip to the car dealership to get my car checked over before I exceeded the number of miles on my warranty and got an oil change while I was at it. Sat and read while waiting. Came home, washed all of the downstairs windows, moved all of the furniture and did the floors. Gave myself a little break for lunch, read a little while eating. Continued to clean after that. Hannah came home. I finished reading "Inkheart", the book she and I were reading together. Liked it, but not as much as Dragon Rider, but the same author (Cornelia Funke). We were super excited when we were at the movies on Saturday and saw the movie trailer for Inkheart!!! Looks good.

After giving Hannah a breather, we ventured out to find the library. I have been devouring books since finishing my Master's program and I am going to break the bank with the purchases I need to make to keep up my habit of completing a book every other day or so. I know it sounds sad, but I had no clue where the library was and didn't have a library card here. We live in a fairly rural county and have a county, instead of a city, library. That is a first for me. In any case, the library was sad. There are a few other branches of the library, so maybe I shouldn't judge just based on this one. It was very nice, clean, new, etc... but the selection was meager. I couldn't find any of the books that I was wanting to read there. I picked up The Memory Keepers Daughter and Celebrity Detox (by Rosie O'Donnell) since I had no clue what I wanted after not finding the few on my list there. I got the last book in the Outlander series on CD! That was a pretty exciting discovery. I loved the first 3 books, but by the 4th, I was kind of wishing the characters would die... lol. I want to know what happens, but I couldn't stomach the thought of reading such a thick book and being annoyed. Now I can listen to it on my drive to and from work over the next couple of days. I got my mom interested in the series and by the time the 5th book was released, it took her over a year to get through it, just because it was like pulling teeth.

After the library, it was time to get Hannah to OM. The kids are continuing to develop their script and it just gets more and more bizarre as the weeks go on.

We met up with Keith and headed out for dinner. Got home, here I am now. I'm letting the Roomba run around and vacuum my bedroom floor. Geez, I love that thing!!!
