Two Years Later

It has been two years since we closed on our house here in NC. Hard to believe isn't it? I still miss our old house, for so many reasons. Still, here is my take on things: Two years later and we still haven't managed to paint all of the downstairs (but we are close to finishing). Two years later and this still doesn't feel like home, but it's not as foreign to me as it was two years ago... Two years later and tomorrow I will be finished with my MA program. Two years later and Hannah will test for her black belt next week in tae kwon do. Two years later and Keith continues to be cancer free. Two years later and I have learned that I am not a fan of homeowners' associations. Two years later and we still attract stray cats. Two years later and we put our old reliable vehicles out to pasture. Two years later and Hannah is in her last year of elementary school. Two years later and I have learned to establish boundaries; in working with clients, in my relationships, and in saying no when I need to (including saying no to the stray cats). Two years later and I continue to be blessed every day.

Two years later and I need to make a routine dentist appointment. We all need to have goals and keep them manageable :)
