Hi, I went to the chiropractor for what was to be more or less of a maintenance visit. Well, he twisted my neck this way and that and when I got up to leave.... OUCH! Serious pain, but now in the left side of my neck and giving me a cluster headache behind my left eye and a pain in my left ear. Yeah, fun stuff. He told me there was nothing he could do since he had already adjusted my neck and it wouldn't do anything for a few hours.
Keith and I went out for dinner and tried to make the most of our evening of solitude since Hannah's away. Unfortunately, I'm now in bed with the heating pad, a spasm in my neck, and two Tylenol PM waiting to be processed. Keith's down stairs watching something on TV. Maisy is keeping me company.
Didn't hear anything from Hannah today, not that I expected to. That being said, I hope she's having a fun time of it. They will have lights out at 10 pm and I'm thinking of her. She got off to a good start this morning. We had her all packed up and ready to go last night. It turned out to be quite a nice day here. I'm a little confused by the weather here. We have had some nights in the freezing zone, but then this past weekend we had days where it was in the 80's and we had the A/C on again.
I'm counting down til cruise time. I know I've probably mentioned before that I'm super excited and can barely wait. I will be bringing the laptop and may work on my research paper while I'm floating out at sea, but there are no guarantees. Without having housework or other things distracting me, I actually like research. Now, if I'm having a great time playing shuffle board, I won't work on the paper and won't feel guilty about it either.
Despite going to Washington DC for a few days over the summer, I feel like we have needed a vacation for a while now. I think it's just that Keith never slows down. Washington was just another whirlwind of rushing around and trying to fit everything in. I'm looking forward to relaxing, enjoying each other's company, and just taking time to be still. Hopefully Hannah will have fun with whatever children's program they have so she won't be bored by us and we won't feel the need to schedule everything around her whims. Not that I am opposed to doing Hannah-friendly activities. I just know that she will enjoy the break from us to make some new friends also. Unlike the Disney cruises, this ship has a casino and I know Keith won't be able to resist playing a few hands of poker. That being said, there may be an opportunity for me to crank out a few pages of something for school.
Speaking of school, I'm frustrated because registration started today and my location doesn't have its classes posted. I have events at work in the spring that I was waiting to schedule depending on when I will be in class. It's just another pain in the neck...
