I went car shopping today. With a year left on the warranty on the BMW, I have a better trade in right now than I will without the warranty. I was thinking of trading in both the BMW and the Miata and getting one car that was both functional and fun to cover the bill on both counts. So, I stopped by the Pontiac place and looked at the G6, hard top convertible. I thought it was a cool novelty, but it's not a four door. Went to the Mazda place next and looked at the RX-8 which has the sport car feel, but has a modified 4 door design, making it more Hannah friendly. For the sake of practicality, I drove the Mazda 6, and actually liked the way it handled. It reminded me a lot of the Miata, but "grown up", lol. Thing is, I really liked how unique the RX-8 was. I'm kind of stuck. When we get back from vacation, I'm going to go look at some Nissans just to be sure. I really love my Mazdas though. I've had really good luck with them.
We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest on Saturday night and we were disappointed by the film. It was like the movie was capitalizing on the success of the first movie and setting the stage for the third. There were about 5 different plot lines running at the same time and not enough depth to any of them.
Last night we rented The Ringer. I knew it looked funny, but I was expecting it to be more "dumb" than it was, or more tasteless... It was actually a cute movie that had a lot of laughs and some warm fuzzies.
I need to get back to my laundry! My plan is to have it all done before we leave. The new washing machine takes FOREVER!!! It takes twice as long to wash clothes as it does to dry them. I know it's supposed to be "better" (according to Keith and the man at Best Buy), but they aren't the ones trying to keep up with the laundry in this household. I am.
