Prayer Request

Please keep my friend, Tom Bradford, in your prayers. Tom went in for scheduled surgery this morning to try to surgically close a pressure sore that would not heal. He made it through the surgery and was back in his room recovering at 11:30 this am, according to his father. The surgery was the "easy" part, recovering and healing is the long part.

For those of you who don't know Tom, he has spina bifida, uses a wheelchair, and is a pretty stubborn guy who is fiercely independent. Tom was a supervisor at Voc Rehab and never "got" clients who wanted to be coddled through life. This was just one inevitable factor that lead to his burnout and new career. He's 37 and has a hard head, lol.

He recently left Florida because most doctors there told him there was little hope of him doing much more than living in an assisted nursing facility. He has sold his home in Sebring last week and packed up to be with family in Tennessee where a surgeon offered some hope through this surgery.

I know he's going to be antsy in a hospital bed. Please keep him in your thoughts as he goes through the healing process over the next 2 - 4 weeks.

Thanks!
