long "weekend"

Hi all, Hannah and I did drive up to NY on Saturday. It was a longer drive than anticipated. It took close to 14 hours. We came home yesterday. Left Long Island at 6:30 and drove almost straight through. Hannah got car sick in Virginia, so that required a stop. We made better time coming back.

The funeral was rough, but the viewing and funeral were "closed casket" so that made it a little bit easier to contend with. My grandmother and grandfather's funerals were closed casket and the family just agreed that it was the way to go.

I'm making arrangements to have my great-grandmother's bedroom furniture picked up and brought here now that my grandfather has passed on and my cousin is buying the house and clearing it out.

The whole ordeal has been rough. I'm tired.

They determined that he had a heart attack brought on by high blood pressure.

I enjoyed seeing my family and being able to spend this time with everyone. Hannah got to "meet" everyone again.

I'm in the process of working out our finances for the month and then I'm going to take a little brain rest in bed. I will write more later.
