Hello all, just a quick jot to let you know that I will be interviewing with the dean at 11 and then with a committee at 1. I need to finish getting ready, but I just wanted to post that.
The movers picked up the furniture Monday from my grandparents'. I called my uncle and he said everything went fine, they were there around 10. They never called me to get payment information or anything else, so I was really confused about what was going on. They were supposed to call me when they arrived there so I could give them my credit card info. I was leery of giving them anything up front. He said they wrapped it all and had it out quickly. When I called the movers they said it would be here for immediate delivery. They told Bill that they were taking it back to their warehouse and putting it on a different truck that was coming this way, I guess consolidating loads. He said they had him sign off on several papers.
We had another issue at the school Monday. We received notice that there would be try outs for the school play. The note came with a sign up sheet for areas we were willing to volunteer with, a sheet out of the script to practice reading, etc. So, I filled out the sign up sheet and wrote the date on my calendar. I sent a change of transportation letter for Hannah to let them know I would pick her up at 3 so they wouldn't put her on the bus. I arrived at about 2:50 and no one was there. I waited in my car like we do when we pick up the kids from dance on Tuesdays. I saw some other kids from another club line up and leave at 3 near the gym. Then I pulled into a parking space and went inside. No one knew anything about the drama club, etc. There weren't any people in the office. I forgot my cell phone at work because I pulled it out so I would be able to hear it if the movers called me wanting my payment information. So, I thought maybe someone tried to call me and missed me. By then it was 3:15, I came home frantic, Hannah wasn't here. I called Keith to see if he heard anything. Her teacher beeped in and said that she cancelled drama for the day because not all of the kids were ready yet, but since she had other kids staying after to work on a project, she let Hannah stay as well. When I got there she asked, "were you really THAT worried?" I am just completely baffled how this seems to always happen to us. She even said, "I'm sorry this always seems to happen to you." Sheesh.
Okay, I have to find a shirt to wear!
