My first interview of 2006. I am hoping that it goes smoothly. I looked up the department online and found it to be very similar to the last college I worked at in that department.
Keith's oncology appointment seemed routine. He said that he met the doctor, and he was nice. He met the nurses, they were nice, too. They did bloodwork and will know the results tomorrow. He has a CT scan scheduled for April. The oncologist went over the few records that we forwarded from Dr. T's office. He also prescribed Keith "Z-Pak" because Keith told him he has had a cold for the past month. Hopefully the bloodwork will come back okay and then we will just hang on and wait until April for the CT scans.
I emptied 4 boxes of "stuff" today. I am down to just another 3 or so that have scrapping stuff in them. This is going to be the hard part because it will require tedious organization and finding a place for everything so it will be easy to locate and use. I'm not sure I'm up to the challenge. This is where having some super organized friends that LOVE this sort of thing would come in handy. Unfortunately, none of them live in NC.
It seems like it should be easy, but if you saw the way they packed everything -- just a sea of photos, paper, STUFF, all jumbled in cartons, well, you'd be overwhelmed too. I think they turned drawers upside down and just dumped them because it wasn't anything fragile. Any of you who are scrappers or do any sort of crafts, please share an organization tip or two with me. I had wanted a big piece of sheet metal to do a magnet board, but I can't find a piece that is both magnetic and affordable.
Keith's on his way home. Another late night. At least he got stuff done so it's not hanging over his head. I know he hates that.
Alex has taken on a new way of alerting me us that he wants to come in. He always knows if I'm nearer to the front door or the back door, then he will claw at the window screen until I let him in. Not a good habit.
Well, off I go for the night. I need some antihistamines and maybe a hot bath with a book. My mom got me Anne Rice's "Christ the Lord" for Christmas and I started reading that last night. So far, there are a lot of names and details and it's starting slow. I really like her writing, so I'm hoping it will pick up.
