This is our new home! It's not ours yet, but it will be after we close on October 10th. Isn't God good? Our closing here on Friday the 7th, hopping in the car and driving to NC, then our closing there on Monday the 10th? No human could ever orchestrate something that smoothly. I am just in awe of the Lord daily.
So, this is the house that caught my attention despite it's small lot, and caught Keith's interest from first glance. http://www.5017craftsmanridge.com The formal living room with the french doors... that's going to be my "studio"! I can scrapbook, paint, and just go nuts from wall to wall without taking over the house as I do here. The thought of that makes me giddy.
The only thing that would make it better is if we could tuck a few neighbors and friends in with our suitcases and furniture. Not to mention family members.
We've started calling utility companies, arranging moving, etc. It seems like it took me all day to get through some of the to-do list. Thank God I'm able to do it and not have to stress about going to work. I had a hard time leaving, but I'm glad that I have been able to put things in perspective and do what I need to do without feeling stressed or responsible.
It looks like everything is still right on track with selling our home here. I was told by our realty group that the couple is buying it "as is" and we shouldn't have to do anything unless something major came up. I had to call because I was worried about not hearing from them after the inspection last week.
Keith and I are hoping that closing in NC is comfortable. We haggled quite a bit to get the price down to where we needed it to be. It was still out of our desired range when we were finished, but at that point, we weren't going to walk away. It was too close and too good to let it go.
Lenny got to stay at the vet's while we were away. He did fine. I couldn't put him off on my neighbor for two school mornings. I have enough trouble getting Hannah off to school and walking the dog, let alone thinking of our dog, their dog and their two girls... that would make my morning insane.
Well, I've started and stopped this several times. I have some carrot cake in the oven, better head off.
