MLK Jr Day

Hannah and I will be home enjoying a 3 day weekend tomorrow, while Keith returns to work. It has been a wonderful weekend once again. Hannah had a "new" friend spend the night on Friday. She rode the bus home with her and just left this morning. I told Hannah she could stay again last night as long as they both took showers and went to bed by midnight. By the time Hannah got out of the shower, "S" had already fallen fast asleep.

I took some time to go through Hannah's drawers and purge some of the school clothes she hasn't been wearing. Her closet is messy and I want her to clean it up, but I needed to help her make some more room. I moved my old make up table and bench into her room so she would stop piling her stuff in the corner. I told Keith if she really uses it, I will get her one of her own.

This Thursday will mark the middle of the school year. So hard to believe. 3 grading periods down, 3 to go. I am already looking ahead to February and Valentine's Day, our anniversary, and the cruise to Cozumel for my mom's 60th birthday. When we get back, I will be planning Hannah's 13th birthday party, then we will get to go off for Easter break in Jamaica! With that underway, we will be looking at the last 2 months of school.

We went to see "The Spy Next Door" on Friday night. It was very cute. Keith and I watched "Julie & Julia" last night on dvd and really enjoyed that as well.

I am eagerly awaiting the end to basketball season so the running around daily slows down a bit. I will switch Hannah's riding lessons back to a weekday and will feel like I have my weekends back again. I have been unable to get to Curves this past week to exercise and I'm really straying from the healthy eating habits I've come to embrace. This past week I worked all 5 days and that is unusual for me. I keep thinking once the career fair is over, I will get my free time back. It seems like it's always something. I am blessed to be keeping busy though, and getting paid for it! The house is clean, the laundry done, and tomorrow I will embark on a 5 minute a day regimen in my scrapbook room of getting my patterned paper put in some sort of order. I will be setting the microwave timer because I believe 5 minutes won't kill me, but 15 may!
