Hannah had a good week back at school and got her first report card on Wednesday. She has a 93 average overall for the grading period, her lowest grade was an 88. Middle school definitely agrees with her much more than elementary school ever did. I think the break in between classes and changing teachers really has helped her over the past year and this new school year. Even if she doesn't enjoy a teacher or a subject, she can see the end soon enough to tough through it and do what she needs to.
It has been a dreary week with lots of cold and lots of rain. My friend in NJ had snow yesterday, so at least we aren't dealing with that here! I had to put on the heat for the first time yesterday though, it was 64 when I got in and I set the heat for 65. I figured any colder than it was and we would be uncomfortable. It started to get brighter out earlier this afternoon, but it's back to being overcast again.
Kept busy at work and enjoyed lunch out with a friend on Wed. Nothing terribly exciting happening in my life, I'm afraid. Looking forward to family time this evening and a day without football tomorrow afternoon. Hannah has horseback riding in the morning and a school dance tomorrow night so we don't have a free weekend still, but that's fine. Keith and I will get out and do something tomorrow while she's at the dance. We had talked about the possibility of doing some painting upstairs, but with the way the weather has been, we may not. We haven't decorated for Halloween yet either since it has been so wet. Sounds like a plan, doesn't it?

Congrats to Hannah - sounds like middle school does agree with her! Enjoy the quiet in your life right now cuz you know that will change soon enough!
