It's a dreary looking day, damp and drizzly. I am a little bit ahead of schedule this morning, but there is little point in leaving my house for uptown right now as I will just sit in traffic for a half hour extra instead of sitting at home for that half hour. Things clear up around 9 am and I'm ready to walk out the door.
Things have come together for Hannah's competition cheer squad. They did well at practice last night. They got their uniforms for the season again and are excited about their exhibition at the festival this Saturday morning.
Football cheer is winding down. No more late or extra practices. Less running around for me. More down time for Hannah. Although I must say I've been proud of her for keeping on top of her schoolwork with all of her after school activities. Report cards will come out next week.
It is feeling like fall. Not just the rain, but cooler temperatures are upon us. I am looking out my bedroom window at some of the trees beginning with a reddish orange tint and the cardinals flying around that match.
If it dries up a bit, we will do our Halloween decorating later on Sunday. I've spackled some digs and dings in the walls, mostly in the stairwell, and need to sand that and touch up the paint. I brought in the "mouse" sander yesterday from the garage, but felt out of sorts and didn't follow through. I am still not on my A game today, I'm not sure why I'm feeling poorly and it's hard to describe just what is bothering me. I just feel bleh.
Speaking of Halloween, Hannah decided weeks ago that she wasn't going to go trick or treating this year. She said she wanted to stay home and pass out candy instead. I have always enjoyed walking around with her, but last year she did seem to enjoy handing out candy more than the door to door excursion. She still plans to dress up, she said she wants to be a "dead" cheerleader. I don't know what her deal is with that.

Boy do you have a lot going on! Isn't it sad when they quit the trick or treating... they grow up so quickly! I got my decorations up early this year and so far been enjoying them. I hope to get some fall pics this weekend.
Hope you feel better!
