Happy Tuesday Everyone

I am getting a lagging start this morning. It's all good though. I just heard Hannah's bus go past, so she's off to school. I will be hopping in the shower to get off to work myself.

Hannah's appointment with the pediatric neurologist yesterday was uneventful, but I'm still grateful for the chance to meet with him. After asking several questions and doing a few tests, it was determined that Hannah gets migraine headaches (surprise). To have an official diagnosis though, that was good. The headaches are hereditary and light and sound sensitive and can be so intense that they make her throw up. The doctor seemed happy with the things we are doing now to ward them off, but he added Phenegran to her medication line up for the nausea on the really bad days and then sent a note to school to allow her to take it there as well. We are going to start keeping a record of her headaches and when the sheet he provided is full, we need to fax it in.

The girls with Hannah's competitive cheer squad were working to pull together their routine last night. It looks good so far and she seems to be having a lot of fun while practicing. I just love to watch her enjoying herself.

A bluebird just landed on the garage roof. I love the view from my bedroom. I was thinking this morning how blessed I am to have a home, let alone a home that my family enjoys and is proud of. The school cheer squad got an email from a community organization yesterday that a family at the school is in need of assistance. The dad has lost his job and they don't have money for even the necessities and they may lose their home shortly. I picked up a gift card to Walmart for them to add to the canned goods, etc because they may need something that someone hasn't thought of. Too many people are affected by the downturn in the economy now and I am seeing the fallout all around. I just keep praying things will pick up again.
