Hannah's Sick

Hi, I had a busy work day yesterday. It started out very smooth, got up for work and woke up Hannah to let her know I was leaving around 9:45. Had my first two appointments and came back home for a two hour lunch break. I told Hannah before I headed out that I would call her to take her request for lunch. She chose Burger King (she loves cheesy tots). That was fine with me as I like their grilled chicken salad and it was on the way to the house.

I got home and she was still in her pjs and playing the Wii. It was around 11:45. We had lunch, I did some housework and then headed back out for another string of appointments around 1:15. At 3:30, she called Keith at work, she was itchy, nauseas, had a headache and was alternating between chills and being hot. He came home and took her to urgent care and I met up with them there. I stopped by the house and picked up the empty prescription bottle from the meds she just finished for the spotty rash so we could see if that was the cause. She looked like she had a head to toe sunburn and started throwing up.

Over 3 hours later, we still did not have a definitive answer as to what is wrong with her, but it is suspected that she is having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic she finished this past weekend. They did some bloodwork and her white blood cell count was only slightly higher than normal, they tested for and ruled out strep and mono as well. I just looked at her and she is still red all over. If this continues, she will be following up with her pediatrician when the office opens in a few hours. In the meantime, I am going to try to get back to sleep. She woke me up whimpering around 2 am and then at 3 said her headache was coming back, so it was time for more Tylenol. The only thing the doctor said to do was to alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 4 hours to make her more comfortable.
