Keith liked his gift, a new digital photo frame. The one I got him around Christmas 2006 went dark on him, it's still working, but you can't see the images anymore, I guess that makes it broken. I have no idea if that's fixable, but this is a nicer frame now and he was happy.
I got the roses he sent and today I got a card. Hannah got chocolate. The fact that I didn't get chocolate shows that he's paying attention. He usually does.
But, on that note, I wasn't paying attention last night. We went to Outback and I ate cheese fries. In my defense, they were free (not fat free, just no cost to us free). Keith had been carrying the coupon around and we needed to clean out his wallet.
It looks like we are continuing to move forward with the kitchen repairs.
We received authorization from the homeowners association for doing the fence yesterday. I love the way they made "recommendations" as to how they thought we should do it, but they couldn't tell us what to do because we were doing something that other homeowners have done. They highly suggested that we use a wood fence because we are next to the common area and the woods and that would look more natural. I told Keith that it makes me want to put up a white vinyl fence even more. We have gotten nothing but grief from our neighbors and the homeowners association since we moved in. No welcome to the neighborhood, just a talking to about how much they hated that our house was on a slab instead of a crawl space because crawl spaces raise the house up and make them look "richer". We bought the house from someone else, even though there is still new construction there. They have just always been like that though. If I could have a pink fence with purple polka dots and get away with it, that would be what I put up (but just on the outfacing side, lol).
