With all of this time off from school, it feels a little odd, like Hannah's still on Christmas break. Today was a nice day off though. The sleepover last night with "R" and "M" was great, they had a lot of fun together and I think that it gave Hannah a little bit of closure to see "R" off. "M" stayed until 1:30 so she was here after "R" left and I think that kept Hannah from being too weepy as well. So, it was all good. Starting at 8 last night seemed like a good idea because they didn't have a chance to get too bored. At 9:30, they headed up into Hannah's room and went back down to raid the kitchen sometime around midnight. We bought snacky foods (which I did NOT touch, I'm happy to say) and they were content.
I posted the picture of Hannah with her little crutch decorations. It just thrills me that she picked up on crocheting and that my mom taught her. Something no one could teach me when I was little because I was left handed, but it's now something special that she and my mom will share. Hannah said she's now making a hat.
So, today was day 2 of my new and improved eating habits. So far, so good. I went grocery shopping while Hannah was in cheer practice and picked up some things that I am able to eat, fat free cheese and sour cream on tonights steak fajitas that were on whole wheat shells. All is well in my low cholesterol world. I started keeping a food journal yesterday. Not just to keep track of what I'm eating, but to see if any patterns emerge with some of the other stomach issues I've been having for the past couple of years.
The stupid "service engine soon" light came on in my car again. I just had it in, what? Two weeks ago? I am taking it back this Friday again. Sheesh. It ticks me off and has me thinking it's a conspiracy since my car is just about at the 50k mark.
