Hi friends! It's FRIDAY! Hannah wasn't supposed to have school today, it was a teacher workday, but the snow day on Tuesday changed all of that.
I have to head out shortly to take her to the orthopedic pediatrician? Pediatric orthopedist? What the heck do you call him? The children's bone doctor. How's that? I couldn't change the appointment. I made it for 11 today to avoid pulling her out of school on Wed or Thurs and lo and behold - school's in session today anyway.
Please say a prayer that everything will be fine and she won't have to be out of commission for long. If the diagnosis in the ER was correct, I've read up on the injury and she could be off her feet for 1 - 2 months. She would be miserable. We will have some more conclusive idea of what's going on after today's appointment. The "good" news was that her foot didn't hurt in the spot that the x-ray showed as broken, so she may just have had some problems with a muscle strain. We'll see. Like I said, say a little prayer for us today.
It's still COLD, but one would barely know it had snowed quite a bit here on Tuesday morning.
We are having fence estimates done today to put up a privacy fence between us and our neighbors on one side. It was inevitable since that was the first question they asked us when we moved in. They let us know how uncomfortable it was for them to drive up and see the people who use to own our house sitting outside and (GASP) eating on the back patio. They, in turn, make me uncomfortable. Since I put our 5 person hot tub on that same patio, you can imagine how much time I've spent out there since we moved. Thus, the Valentine's Day/Anniversary fence from Keith along with a revamping of the hot tub as a gift. Yeah, jewelery has been nice for the past couple of years, but peace is good too. I can only wear so much jewelery before looking like Mrs. T.
