Terrific Tuesday

Okay, maybe terrific is a bit of an exaggeration. I'm awake. At some point today I had a shower and put on nice clothes, so that is pretty gosh darned terrific. More than many could claim.

Got an e-mail from Hannah's science teacher in response to mine. She said Hannah is doing great, has had no apparent problems making the transition to middle school and made a 95 on her test yesterday. She put a smiley face with that comment. Hannah is excited that all of her teachers "love" her.

Managed to get her to horseback riding after she took the school bus home. It was nice to not have to sit in the car the extra hour + by picking her up at the school, but it was definitely a race to the finish to get her there on time.

I have had more people come claim my purged items through Freecycle. I don't think I will manage any more organizing projects for a few weeks though. We'll see, I always have Friday. Since I only had one appointment tomorrow, I'm going to do my drop in hours then instead and will be taking off Thursday. That will give me time to freshen up the guest room since no one has used it in months. It's clean, the bedding has been freshly washed, but I need to dust. I think my next project will be my own closet and then will do the dresser drawers, one at a time.

Today was just a beautiful day. Very much like a crisp fall day. Not hot, a little bit of a cool breeze every now and then. Many were in jeans today instead of shorts. I think that may have been more in anticipation of fall than it was due to cool weather. Shorts still would have been fine today. All of that "fall" makes for good timing on thinning out my wardrobe. Whatever I didn't wear this past summer is probably due to find a new home. Geez, I need to go shoe shopping though. I have had several shoe malfunctions over the past few weeks and shoes have been thrown out without being replaced. I have a love/hate shoe relationship.
