EOG Day 1

I'm posting a photo from about 2 months ago, but it's fun and I didn't want just another text only blog entry.
Well, Hannah took her reading EOG this morning. Yesterday, the kids did the paperwork, now the testing begins. Tomorrow and Thurs will be the math portions and then next Tuesday will be science.

I had back to back appointments today, as has become typical for my Tuesdays. I believe that next year, I could probably plan on working two days a week just doing community appointments and would be able to fill the two days. In any case, I was in session through 3:30 and when I ran in the office to drop off my files and pick up my paperwork for the next appointment, the secretary told me that Hannah called to let me know she got home safely. OMGosh! Hannah was at HOME??!!! She was supposed to be at tae kwon do!! I called her then (at this point she would have been home alone for an hour) and she told me that she was thinking so much about math and her EOG that she forgot that it was Tuesday. Keith got her off to school this morning and they didn't think to pack her uniform so she just wasn't thinking of TKD in general this afternoon and got on her regular bus. Keith was heading home to be with her by the time I returned her call, so I didn't need to freak out and rush home.

We had fun looking at some of Hannah's early years scrapbooks this evening. Gosh, how much she has grown. Pictures of her at 1 or 2 and now she is finishing up her last 2 1/2 weeks of elementary school. It's so hard to believe. She's still just as quirky though! Please continue to keep her in your prayers as things wrap up.

Love the Lola wig!!! I want one! In ALIAS red, though. Hee hee.

Hannah has my prayers...did she say how it went? I can understand why she forgot about TKD. Glad all is okay when she gets home alone. Good kid you've got there.

I can't believe she is off to middle school! Makes me feel so old. Makes me miss you all so much more...makes me wish I lived closer, too. To be there for the small stuff, you know?

Sigh, I am in a nostalgic mood...
