Technology Woes

Yeah, I think the computer downstairs is pretty much toast. At least in its present state it's useless.

I've had a busy week, which was fine and dandy. Nice flow of clients and work on Tuesday, stuff to do around the office on Wednesday even though it was a little slow, good appointments today. Tomorrow, Good Friday, no work, no school for Hannah.

Tuesday I was actually ID'ed going into a parking garage at work, and then had a hard time leaving at the end of the day. Barack Obama was on campus, holding a fundraiser in the building next to the one my office is in.

Hannah got her cheerleading uniform today. It's SUPER cute. Cute photos will need to be taken soon.

There was an e-mail sent from her cruise crush that his family will be passing through on their way home from visiting his grandmother for Easter. There was a hopeful request for meeting up for lunch, but Hannah didn't get to respond so I don't know how that would work out at this point. I told her tomorrow she will need to try to e-mail him to see when that would be and if it's truly a possibility. They've been pen pals for over a year and a half now, so I would be supportive over a brief lunch encounter. I know Hannah would be thrilled to get to have a visit with him. As I've told most of you, having this long distance relationship has spared me so much pre-teen drama, that I am all for it. They write about video games, OM (he does something similar called Destination Imagination), extracurricular activities and school work. It keeps Hannah from getting all wrapped up in school crushes like her friends have where they are focused more on relationships than school work. I think it actually allows her to be herself. She's not out to impress anyone, especially not boys. That's the way it should be.

I got a catalog in the mail with some samples of skin care products. It was just the little flat packages of eye cream and stuff, but I'll tell you what... I actually placed an order today. I tried it out yesterday and the stuff was great! The make up remover/cleanser is olive oil based, but it's not greasy. Today I put some stuff on under my foundation and it was awesome. I developed a HATE for foundation because I couldn't find one that didn't feel like it was sliding off my face and greasy after a few hours. This helped keep my make up from turning oily. I had to have it. The company offers the same catalog and free samples to anyone who hasn't previously been a customer. With each order you place, you can choose up to 4 more free samples of other products. I'm going to give their actual foundation a shot, it has an SPF of 30 and with my recent skin cancer issues, that is pretty important. Since I am not a foundation fan, I figure if I like all of the other stuff they sent me to try on my face, I may like that as well. I also like that I will get a sample. I can't tell you how many tubes of lipstick, bottles of foundation and compacts of powder I have pitched just because the shade looked right until I actually put it on. I hate wasting stuff.

I'm looking forward to having 10 consecutive days off from work with Hannah. Whoo Hoo!
