So, I managed to clean up the house so well that the floor was something you could eat off of. Everyone showed up on time and we managed to get through the forms, the script a few times and then reviewed the video twice. Lenny graced my oh-so-clean floor by peeing in the middle of it because he wasn't getting sufficient attention from the dozen guests that were in our home. Oh, that dog... grr
In the midst of all of that loveliness, Keith got a call on his cell phone and was informed that the plant was on fire. He took my car keys and dashed out the door leaving me with the cargo van he borrowed from work to help get the props to the competition tomorrow. The cargo van that I do not have keys nor authorization to drive... His truck is at work, so I am literally without a vehicle now. God willing he will be back tonight so Hannah and I are not stranded in the morning and so the group's props are not held hostage in the van we have no access to.
We have to be at Wingate at 8:30 in the morning to get situated. The kids' house structure is rather flimsy and will probably only withstand one more move before it is in need of serious repair. We will have to see how things go. Tomorrow may be the end of the road for the group. If they are in the top 2, they will go on to the state competition next month. We were told that this is the hardest problem that the veteran OM'ers have seen in a while and that most groups steered clear of it.
I will either be sharing the video with "you" by CD or if I can upload it to the computer without having it broadcast to everyone and anyone.
I'm off to read "Inkspell". It is so much better than "Inkheart" and I'm completely into the story. Need to find out what happens next!
