Just a quick note: I talked to Heather about 15 minutes ago and she is at "home" at her parents' house. She had an endoscopic procedure done to clear the tube that was causing the problems. She will have to go back on Friday to follow up because they fear the other tube to her liver may have problems as well. If that is the case, she will need actual surgery. At least she's home right now and things are looking up.
I was knocked flat last night by a migrane. It started out as a nuisance sort of headache, brought on by a 6 1/2 hour, non-stop, counseling marathon and lack of food, but by the time I picked Hannah up and had something in my stomach, it really got bad. I managed to drop her off at Odyssey of the Mind and another mom-friend from the group brought her home for me. I was in bed at 7 and pretty much stayed there feeling queasy and out of sorts. It resulted in me calling in to work at 9 this morning when I still felt like I had been beaten with a baseball bat. I got up to see about eating lunch and saw that Hannah forgot her homework on the kitchen table; a project she had worked hard on last night. I dragged myself up to the school and dropped it off for her. I'm still not feeling top notch, but I'm not complaining.
