I felt really tired on Wed, but pressed on. I told Keith I turned on the electric blanket to HIGH before I left to take Hannah to horseback riding and that I looked forward to getting into my warm, snuggly bed the entire time I was out. Yesterday I felt the same way, made it through the day, but just felt tired. Started getting a little dry cough while I was doing some counseling. Then I came home and started feeling a little uncomforable, my throat was sore and dry. When I woke up this am, it was excruciating. I was supposed to help Hannah's class with an art project for an upcoming auction at 11, so I thought I could run to the doctor, get some meds then get up to her school. I ended up in the waiting room from 8 until almost 11, then in the examining room until 12:30 before I got the diagnosis of strep throat and a prescription for antibiotics. I felt awful for having to cancel on Hannah's teacher. I called at 10 when it looks like I wasn't going to get out of the doctor's office any time soon.
Hannah has a busy day today with OM stuff and now she should be on to rock climbing. Luckily one of the other moms jumped in to help when I answered the phone sounding like I just swallowed a cup of sand.
I heard a delivery truck earlier and went downstairs to check it out. I found a box of flowers by the front door and opened it to put them in water. Well, imagine my shock when I saw inside that they were for HANNAH from "S", the mystery boy from the cruise in 2006! She is going to be so tickled when she gets home.
I was quite spoiled for Valentine's day. I got my Valentine's Day and Anniversary presents both at the same time. Keith got me a pair of pearl earrings and a necklace that is a gold chain alternating each inch with a pearl. Then he sent me a dozen yellow roses to work. He said it was hard to get yellow, but he managed.
I am hoping that I will be well by our date on Sunday for our anniversary!
