Every day Blessings

Hannah found one of her two missing jackets today in the lost and found box at TKD.

We went out, just the two of us, to Macaroni Grill for dinner where we shared canneloni and a "lemon passion" for dessert. Had some fun girl time.

Hannah got to call her "BFFs" in FL to let them know we would be there Saturday night. Both Hannah and her friends were excited.

Had a frantically paced day at work today, but it was "all good". Just enough time to return phone calls and e-mails in between the flow of appointments. Going back again tomorrow to do it again. Actually ended up making two appointments for Fri (even though it would have been nice to have had the day off with Keith it will allow me to be off the following week without putting people off too long).

Got an e-mail from an old online friend and am looking forward to catching up with things in Michigan.

Got a message on the machine from Hannah's teacher asking me to check the notes she wrote in Hannah's agenda. Did that, was freaked out, wrote the teacher an e-mail, and will wait to see how it progresses. Glad the teacher called and didn't just rely on the agenda.

BUT (big blessing here) Hannah DID manage to bring home all of her homework as well as her agenda today. The super delish bonus was that she didn't assist with the Little Ninjas class, which is one of her favorite things to do at TKD, because she worked on her homework instead. To pick homework over a fun activity is pretty cool in my book.

Hannah had a hard time with the crossword puzzle in her social studies newspaper tonight, but she persevered and finished the whole thing.

Did I mention the lemon passion? Oh geezzzz, need to mention it again. Yummy.

The weather today was just PERFECT. If I wasn't so busy at work, it would have been a lovely day to eat outside. This evening I stopped to open one of my bedroom windows. It's 59 right now according to weather.com. Just beautiful. The leaves here are lovely right now, most of the trees are in the middle of some sort of color change, so you can tell that summer has passed. I did a quick check and it's around 40 where I grew up on Long Island, NY but it's only 62 in Lakeland, FL. We seem to have the happy medium today.

I talked to my most recently former supervisor today at the other university. It was nice to have a quick catch up. I wanted to tell her about a lead I gave an employer, but then we just chatted a bit until I got stuck behind a broken down bus on my way home and had to get off the phone so I could strategically drive my car!

Keith had a LONG day at work today, but he was out of there all last week for training, yesterday for vacation, and will be out Fri this week through the Mon after Thanksgiving, so I figured he would have some long days these three days he's in. Not bad when you think of it -- 3 days in the office in a 3 week period.

Looking forward to a day of being the "drop in" lady tomorrow at work. If I don't have people show up, I can catch up on other stuff. Usually the students that come in for drop ins are a lot of fun. Eh, I guess I can't make that blanket statement, but that's what I've seen most of the times I've been in charge of drop ins.

Hannah's getting the rest of her braces on on Thurs morning! She said she's going to get red and green rubber bands for Christmas.

Please continue to pray. We should know something about Hannah's test results in the next few weeks (hopefully!) and I am tired. Just think, when we are all in heaven, we will all just sit at the Lord's feet. Adore Him and be adored. I wish that was the way it was here and now, adore and be adored, instead of everything being about a label or a behavior. Hannah at the Lord's feet. I know she would make Him laugh (and I mean that in a good way).
