TGIF

Just catching up on the things I haven't covered in the past few days. Yesterday I met with Hannah's teacher for the first grading period conference. Hannah did fine on her report card. She did pretty well with her behaviors and character from what I could see too. Her report card hasn't been completely filled out, but she seems to be on the right track.

Heather and Keith will both be here tonight! Hannah heads to climbing at 4 and then for some TKD after that, but right now we are being bums and hanging out in our PJs on this lovely teacher work day.

I am SO incredibly excited about starting my new work schedule next week. Just having today off is a blessing. I have two appointments lined up for myself on Tuesday. I may have my Tuesdays pretty full in the future because of after 5 stuff I will be working on, but for the most part, I have my afternoons with Hannah, I may get a day to myself while she is at school every now and then to do the housework and errands and maybe even do some scrapbooking!

Hannah is going to be getting braces! Her appointment is this coming Wed morning at 8:15. I think she is excited and nervous. They will be putting on some spacers and I think putting on the brackets, but she won't have to deal with the wires and everything just yet. I finally got in to square things away with the second opinion orthodontist. What a comparison. The first was going to pull 2 of her top teeth and 2 bottom teeth to make room for the teeth that were crowded out. The second made no mention of this. He said that he believed he had enough room to work with to align everything. The first seemed more technologically advanced, the second has a limo service and will pick her up from school, take her to the appointment and bring her back on Weds for adjustments so we won't need to take time off from work often. Pricing was almost the same. In the end we decided to go with the one who would try to keep all of her teeth. She will have them on for 1-3 years. That's quite a time frame. I would imagine it will be closer to 2 or 3, not 1. I know I got mine in 5th grade and got them off in 8th. Of course, braces have changed since then too, oddly enough. We'll see.

Okay, I'm heading out to clean up the house and grab lunch with my girl.
