Sharlene left this morning around 6:30 :(
Hannah had a race to make it to the bus. I was trying to find out when her TKD class ends. She told me 6. I told her that wasn't possible, she helps with a little kids class that ends around 5:30, she had an after school class for herself before that - when does THAT end? Six. Okay.... we went around and around. Finally, I just said, "fine, I will pick you up at 6." I want her to get her lesson in, but since I don't have anything happening today (the resume class I was going to run has been cancelled) I would happily pick her up as soon as she got a practice in. Nevermind. I'm going to get her at 6.
Her teacher has been out since last Thurs. She failed to bring home her agenda yesterday. She's kind of scattered, but she did her homework (as far as I know).
Sharlene and I had a quiet day yesterday. We went out to lunch and dropped off the super cute charm bracelet she got for Hannah to have the charms soldered on it. She found a charm for each activity Hannah is in, and that's not easy. That being said, Hannah would need a bigger arm to fit them all on one bracelet. The rock climbing charm was a little bit bigger than the rest so we opted to keep that one off. She also found Hannah a TKD top, but later found a girl doing a kick so we kept off the shirt (or whatever it is called).
Since we took it to the bead store to have it soldered, I picked up some beads to add to a bracelet I made a while ago, but made too short. I am going to rework it.
Around the time Hannah got home yesterday, Sharlene and I watched "Premonition" with "Movies on Demand". I didn't hate it, but it was strange. It was back and forth a lot -- too much for the ending to be what it was, I thought.
On Thursday, I have a meeting at Hannah's school for "Odyssey of the Mind". I am going to have to find out what day/time the team Hannah could be on will meet. That will determine whether or not she can even do it though. If it works out on a Monday, that won't be a problem. It's something she would enjoy doing, so I will see what happens. On the interest sheet, I said I would do whatever. I don't have a problem if the time frame is right.
My last grade was entered yesterday afternoon. I now have a completed check list at Webster. From what I was told, my degree should be in the mail shortly.
I got a call yesterday from TKD saying that Hannah will need to re-test on her self-defense and one of her breaking techniques prior to the black belt cermony on Nov.10. That was frustrating because Hannah heard that she passed. I imagine it will be fine. She only made one mistake on her self-defense, so if she only has to focus on those two things, it shouldn't be a problem. It's just aggravating more than anything else. She will have to retest at 1 and the belt ceremony is at 2, so it won't be another 5 hour ordeal. Just a headache. I think Hannah was disappointed, but seems like she will be okay.
Keith is having bloodwork done at 8:05 this morning. I believe this is the glucose and cholesterol test. Say a prayer, please.
I don't have to go in for a client until 11 today. Even though I have 3 hours, I will spend one getting ready and one driving. It's amazing how quickly my morning flies by. I am grateful for the time to kick back for an hour before I have to get going. If I was starting at 8 (I could do it, but...) it would be more stressful to get Hannah off to school in the morning. As it stands, just getting her awake and out of bed is hard. If I was back to trying to do that while I was getting ready to run out the door it just would be miserable. I am doing a presentation tomorrow night and need to put it together with some powerpoint slides. I figure I will do that while I'm waiting to pick up Hannah from TKD since she won't be done with class until 6...
