It is here and I've purchased bedding for it on Overstock.com. Lovely little site. Someone popped up and offered to help me with my online purchase. All I wanted to know was how deep the fitted sheet was. Well, she couldn't tell me that, but she would be happy to place my order. I finally thought, "what the heck?" and started to give her the info. Keith told me I could use his credit card. So, when I told her the name on the card, she told me (mind you this is an online chat) that she couldn't place an order from me since my name wasn't the one on the card. Keith was downstairs in his comfy chair. The ethical thing for me to do would have been to have Keith assume chat duties at that point. I could have easily swapped over into a gruffer typing style, "This is Keith, what is the problem", but instead I decided to close the chat window and I placed the order myself on the stupid fill in the blank page. How insane. I can appreciate the "protection", but give me a break. I could have been ANYONE and said I was anyone just to place the order if that's truly the level of protection they have in place. Well, regardless, here is the bedding set:
blue and brown circley thing with green and stripey stuff. I hope it matches well enough with my wall color.
With the bed being king size, we no longer have anything that will fit on it. We also have not purchased a bed, just the frame. I am thinking of trying my hand at "making" a headboard by covering a piece of plywood or foam rubber with fabric. We will see. For now, I just need some sheets.
Despite what Keith and I discussed (no pets on the new bed) all 3 cats are on the bed napping as I write this. They are enthralled with the memory foam topping on the oh-so-perfect mattress pillow top. It is odd for the three of them to sleep in that close of proximity to each other.
Other than the delivery of the bed, it was not an exciting day. I went to CPCC and filled out my paperwork then Hannah and I had Olive Garden for lunch. Soup, salad and breadsticks for me, which is just fine. Still, it wasn't EXCITING. Hannah was in the mood and I let her choose since she was so cooperative at HR. I was given permission to bring her along, but I had no idea it would take as long as it did.
After that, I was just lazy looking at beds, bedding and whatnot online. I appreciate having this kind of day because next week will be pretty intense. I will have full time days and then the trip to West Virginia Thurs - Sun.
Did all of my American friends have a fun 4th of July? We invited 2 of Hannah's friends to spend the night on the 3rd and took them to see a late night showing of "Transformers" at the recommendation of my sister. Everyone loved it. That put us home around midnight and the girls were ready for bed. On the 4th, we went cruising WalMarts searching for bedding and took Hannah to see "Nancy Drew". Nancy Drew was a disappointment. We grilled hamburgers and had corn on the cob for dinner then lit a few (kind of sad) fireworks in front of our driveway. Hannah stayed up too late playing with her Webkinz online. I meant to mention that she purchased two of the smaller version using money that she made by setting up an "icee" stand in front of our house over a week ago.
That's everything here. I am now counting down the number of days left in my internship!
