Here's a photo of one of the roses from my birthday. See the pokey flower thing off to the side? The week just rushed by. Still pretty quiet at work, but I have a couple of projects there to keep me occupied and happy. Today, the division is conducting another interview. There's usually something going on each day.
I managed to get the first chapter of my paper done and turned it in on Tuesday night. Class on Wed. seemed like a waste of a drive, even though the professor is knowledgeable and fun. For what we do there, it's just not worth the gas and the 3 1/2 hour round trip.
I am coordinating my calendar for this summer and it looks like summer is more insane than my regular work weeks. I need to get in 150 hours for the internship and I was trying to do so without having to put Hannah into something full time or expensive. Well, with a couple hours of this activity and a couple hour of that activity through 4-H and so on, it comes out to both Hannah and I being busy and committed almost EVERY day of June and July. The worst part - it only comes out to 138 hours. Now, once I add in my class time, I will probably be able to get to 150, but I'm a little frazzled thinking that I won't have ANY time this summer with Hannah to just enjoy her. I have had trouble finding something, that will last all day, to put her in at a reasonable price so I can make more of the days I do go in. TKD is an option, but she is SO burned out over it, that I hate to have her there all day. I was looking at possibly having to put her in there in August before school starts just because of the lack of child care to begin with. It seemed like we had a lot more options in Lakeland. Last summer, I had 2 classes that kept my week shot for the duration. This summer, I have this internship. At first I thought if I ran short of hours, I could make them up in the fall, but honestly, it's going to be difficult just to get in the hours I need in the fall semester to start with. I go to DSS on the 10th to work out the details of my internship, so I will find out then what is even do-able or acceptable for a schedule, so I am trying not to be entirely preoccupied by this. They may tell me I have to work X number of hours per week, or give me a schedule from this time to that, so I won't be able to just plan on being able to take Hannah to some of the activities I was in the first place. We'll see.
That's my little rant for the morning. I just feel like I don't have a lot of direction or assistance from Webster to have any structure or guidelines. At the Lakeland campus, we had it all spelled out for us and we HAD to have the paperwork completed the semester before we began the internship. In Columbia, we do the paperwork the first night of class. The advisor is only available on Tues from 1 - 3, he isn't physically there other than those two hours, and he doesn't respond to e-mail. Between the internship headache and this final paper, I'm about to need a therapist. Good thing I'm almost finished...

The rose is gorgeous. Awesome picture. I have no idea how you get all you do done. You are simply amazing at getting it all done.
