"True Friend" Quiz

Hi there to all of my blog reading friends. I just wanted to give a few pointers on my "quiz" that's over to the right of the commentary on my blog. By now, many of you have already taken the quiz so I wanted to give you some explanation for my answers.

Question #1, everyone has gotten that right so far and it's really not a grey area. I was born in Suffolk County NY many years ago.

Question #2 threw enough people that I had to change one of the possible answers. I initially had yellow as one of the choices, but after confusing even my own husband, I changed yellow to black. My favorite color is purple. There was a brief stint in high school, in my Menudo days (yes, I'm dating myself) that my favorite member of the group liked pink (what does that say about him?) so, like a good fan, I loved all things pink. Other than that period in my life, I've been a passionate purple person. For those of you who had guessed yellow, allow me to explain... When we bought our first home in Florida, it was dingy, old, and uninviting. I painted much of the house yellow because I wanted it to be cheerful and happy. Yellow is just such a bright, sunshiney color, it makes me happy. If you think of my wedding, my bridesmaids were in purple and carried bouquets of purple and yellow pansies with sunflowers. Purple first. :)

Question #3, it seems like some days they are Moe, Larry, and Curly - plus one ... but everyone got the pet name question right.

Question #4 - ice cream... there is an ice cream flavor at Cold Stone Creamery called "cake batter" and I just love it. Add in chocolate sauce, a hunk of brownie, and some sprinkles and you end up with a concoction they call "Birthday Cake Remix". It is to die for. I also like Ben & Jerry's "Cherry Garcia", so I guess putting cherry vanilla on there was misleading. I appreciate that I can take a pint of Ben & Jerry's home and put it in my freezer, but if I had a choice of any kind of ice cream, it would be cake batter. This probably comes from a deep childhood trauma inflicted upon me by my great grandmother telling me I could NOT lick the bowl or I would get worms...

Question #5 I spent a semester in Glasgow, Scotland. Everyone got that right.

Question #6 as a girl born and bred in New York, what kind of New Yorker would I be if I didn't pick pizza as my favorite food. I have never been a Chinese food fan. Despite being a dumpling myself, I've always been a picky eater and the Chinese food my family would bring home usually scared me because it would be gooey looking and thrown in a little container. I'm getting better about this, sort of, but if I couldn't tell what was what on my plate and it was all mixed together, I wasn't going to eat it. I love cheese pizza, again, don't throw all that stuff on it so I can't tell what's what. Just dough, sauce, and cheese. I don't eat fish, except for the occasional tuna salad sandwich. Luckily, my daughter is not as picky as me and welcomes new food experiences. She is exceptionally fond of salmon.
