Good night

It has been a few days since I've posted any news of the goings on here. Like I said, I was just so saddened by the events at Virginia Tech that I have felt speechless. Even though I admit I've been avoiding the news on television, the information still gets through. We ended up doing a whole brainstorming session last night as part of class as to what a multi-axial mental health diagnosis would look like for the shooter based on the bits and pieces presented by the media.

On to other things though.

Hannah went to gymnastics tonight after being out for a few weeks due to a variety of "things" that have come up, Easter, spring break, etc. She is counting down the days until school gets out now. She has less than two months. Next week is her last after school art class. I can see the change in her abilities from the art she was doing when she began the program up through now. I loved that train she did today and wanted to post it. Since I needed to take pictures of it, I figured I'd go ahead and take some more of her other drawings.

Keith had a good visit to Florida. He spent several hours with his mom and some other family members and had a successful presentation at work on Monday. He was proud of his accomplishments. He arrived home after 10 on Tuesday. Since I had class that night, I had our student worker come pick up Hannah and she took care of her until I got home at 10. They went to Pizza Hut and then made cookies. Hannah seemed to enjoy it and I don't think Hannah scared away our student, so it was a successful evening. With Hannah having been out last week, she had sleep issues at the start back to school, so I really didn't want her out and about until I was able to get home. It worked out very well.

Keith had his bi-annual oncologist appointment today and, from what he has said, everything was fine. He was very vague and non-committal, but I am going to believe that it was because he was watching CSI-Miami on TiVo and not because there was something he was avoiding telling me. Perhaps this weekend he will give me a little more info.

I have to work on Saturday morning for about an hour. It's a little bit of a waste because it will take me at least that long to drive there and back, but it will work out fine. Keith will take Hannah to horseback riding lessons and my boss will be able to go away for the weekend instead of worrying about putting in more time at the college outside of normal work hours. That is expected a lot and it makes putting family life as a priority difficult. Sunday is Hannah's horseback riding show, so I will be free for that.

I am going to head to bed now. Good night!
