Happy New Year!!!

Well, it was an interesting trip to Florida. On my drive down, I noticed that I felt like there was fluid in my lungs. It was a nuisance, but not a major ordeal. It ended up taking us almost 11 hours to get to Lakeland. I was tired out that night, but the next morning, I was still feeling a little sluggish. I dropped Hannah off to play with Mary and Anna. They got a new trampoline for Christmas and spent the next 5 hours jumping. Their 1 year old sister was running a high fever and was sick. I went to lunch with Sharlene. That night, Hannah and I went with my whole family to dinner at Buca di Beppoin Brandon. It was great. I was coughing sporadically that night. The next morning I woke up feeling horrible. I was running a fever and had to go to the doctor's. I was diagnosed with the flu. He gave me some Tamiflu. My mom, sister and I took Hannah, Mary and Anna to see Charlotte's Web, I dropped the girls off at Mary & Anna's, picked up my prescription, and headed to bed. My mom and sister picked her up a couple of hours later. The next day Mary was running a fever and Hannah didn't get to see her. I took Hannah to see Keith's mom. The next morning, I couldn't get up. I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed, loaded the car and headed out around 1. I hit about 3 hours of traffic on I-4 because there was a motorcycle accident and the guy had to be airlifted by helicopter. As a result, we literally sat in one spot for about two hours. I finally decided to stop for the night in SC while we were still on I-95. I didn't think that I really wanted to be on the road until 1 am. We got home the next day around noon. I have been really tired, but I think the Tamiflu has helped with most of the symptoms that I would have had. I am just feeling fatigued. I would have liked to have been able to get out more while I was in Florida, but in the end, I was happy to just get home and not have that drive hanging over my head anymore. I was dreading it from the moment I knew I was sick.

Sadly, I only took 10 photos while I was visiting. I apologize to everyone I didn't get to see this trip, and honestly, that was just about everyone. Hopefully, Hannah and I will be able to visit again at Spring Break/Easter.

When I left on Saturday, my mom was sick with something similar (if not the same thing) to what I had. My brother was throwing up.

New Year's Eve was pretty quiet here. Hannah spent the better part of the evening at "L's" house. I had Keith go get her at 11:30 so we could be altogether for New Year. Keith and I watched Anchorman - which was awful, and Accepted - which was actually kind of funny despite being cheesy and predictable. I felt like I was dragging all day today. Hannah had play dates all day and then we went to see Night at the Museum which we enjoyed despite the less than favorable reviews.
