Getting to Know You at Christmas 2006

Welcome to the 2006 Holiday Edition of Getting to Know Your Friends!
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa wraps because Hannah has been suspicious and hunting.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? White – but I like colored as well.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?No
5. When do you put your decorations up? Shortly after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding desserts)? turkey
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: having Santa come to my house on Chrismas Eve
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I figured it out when I was at Burger King and lost a tooth. I was talking about the tooth fairy coming and my mom laughed. I realized she was just mocking me.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We have in the past, but we didn't this year.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? With ornaments that have been collected since childhood.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it – as long as I'm not shoveling it or driving in it. It's also ugly after the plow comes and it gets dirty. When it's fresh, I love it. Haven't had much since leaving NY though.
12. Can you ice skate? I really don't know. I have ice skated before and didn't fall down, but I attributed that to my ability to roller skate. I recently discovered that I am not as steady on my feet with skates on as I used to be.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Either my boom box or stereo in the 80's.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus and my family and friends
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Christmas cookies
16. What was your favorite holiday tradition? Having my family over Christmas morning since I had Hannah and having brunch with Christmas crackers.
17. What tops your tree? a star
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Both are nice.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? probably Silent Night or O Holy Night because I remember singing them with my family while my grandmother or aunt played the organ in the living room
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? I don't go out of my way to eat them, but they aren't yuck.

.21. What is on your wish list for Christmas? I couldn't possibly ask for anything more than I've already been blessed with.
