Better day

I'm exhausted and heading up to bed, but I wanted to post this photo of the pumpkin and I wanted to let you know that when we got home today there was a message on the answering machine from Hannah's teacher letting us know that Hannah had a great day at school today; she was "with it" and had everything she needed, and that she appreciated all we did and that we were working with her because it was helping. What a great phone call to receive. What a difference from the constant negativity last year. So, if something bad happens again, I at least know that we were on the right track and that it is possible for Hannah to have good days and do stuff right. Does that make sense or am I babbling? I am just wiped out. Driving to Columbia two nights in a row is just bad stuff.

Tomorrow, Hannah has her first horseback riding lesson at 10 am, and then she has "L"'s birthday party at a local fun center. "S" from TKD and her class last year, is spending the night on Sunday. No school Monday because of Labor Day. It is my hope that we can tackle some painting in the living room this weekend, but that may be overkill. Labor Day cook out at a neighbor's house Monday afternoon. Yeah, painting may be put off again.

Okay, here's a picture of the pumpkin that just continues to ripen, but seems to be finished growing now.
We have had a TON of rain thanks to T.S. Ernesto. I think that is actually part of the problem with some of the pumpkin plants dying off around the one pumpkin.

Good night!!!

I am so glad to hear about the phone call. The teacher sounds better than last year already.

Love the pumpkin too.
