Last night we bought a new laptop. Our old laptop was a good 6 years old, which may not be that old if you are talking about a car, but really, it had seen a rough 6 years and was literally falling apart. The new laptop is twice as fast as the old, twice as powerful, and cost half as much. This will be helpful with keeping up with homework while I'm not able to sit at home.
Take today for example:
Today is day 2 of art lessons at the college for Hannah. She had a GREAT time yesterday. I get to sit and "meet" while she's doing that. I finished my research paper, but still have to type up my references page and insert some of my references into the document. I had the same issue with my article for the critique that I did last week. Keith printed it out for me, I read it, and now I want to do something else. I will be able to take along everything with me and work on it between meeting and waiting.
Now that the bulk of the paper is finished, I think I will be able to sleep soundly tonight. I've taken to stressing myself out in my "old age" over the things I am leaving unfinished during the day. That doesn't seem to help me plan out things any better, I just think about them more at inconvenient times. Maybe I will eventually become a "J". Nah, probably not. Funny thing is that the two other people in my office are J's and I got to sit and watch them make checklists, check things off checklists and take notes yesterday while we were meeting. I took notes in my calendar to keep my dates straight, but other than that, I barely wrote down a dozen words.
The weather here is crummy and it's really just taking a toll on my sinuses. That's the other reason I'm awake right now and sitting in my dark bedroom. I'm just not a happy camper :( I woke up at 5 am just feeling awful. I got up and cleaned the air purifier and tried to go back to sleep. It's not pollen though, I can tell that it's the pressure.
