Happy Birthday Hannah

Can you believe my 'baby' is 9? I wish I could post more photos. The girls had a great time, we had 11 total. I'm leery of posting photos of other people's children on the internet though, so here's one of Hannah with her cake. I realized as I was loading the pictures onto my computer that we got very few of Hannah by herself. That's sort of the way of it with Hannah though, she would rather be surrounded by friends at every opportunity than pose alone.

The girls made beaded bracelets, decorated cupcakes, played several games including a dress up relay race, hot potato, pass the apple, and a hoola hoop game. They had tea and snacks and then it was time to head home.

As each girl arrived, we took her picture with Hannah. We printed them and gave them a photo to take home, along with a little shiny purse with a brush, mirror, nail polish, and some candy (what's a party without candy?).

I think there were 6 of the 10 girls that came were from her class. One she knew from her bus, then 3 from the neighborhood. I was happy with the turnout. We sprayed all of the girls with glitter when they came in, that was fun. The time really flew, but it was fine because we had activities to keep everyone busy the whole time. I don't think anyone was bored, at the very least.

Can I take a vacation now? lol That was a lot of work. The girls were almost too busy to eat the food I put out. We have a lot of leftovers. Luckily, it's mostly fruits, veggies, and other healthy stuff, not chips and chocolate.

The house was kind of turned upside down. We only had one spill, which was fortunate. Unfortunately, that one spill happened to be purple grape juice on my new white dining room chair upholstery. It's supposed to be stain guarded and if the stain won't come out, they will clean it or replace it for me. We'll see. I couldn't get the stain out. Thank goodness it wasn't on my carpet though. My poor carpet is getting a work out.

Tonight, Hannah and I went down to the clubhouse for a neighborhood dessert social. We met a couple of the neighbors, including the people who live just on the other side of the walking trail area from us. They are actually on a different street, the back of their house faces the side of our house, so that is why we don't really see them at all.

It was a full day, a fun day. I'm ready for bed!

Oh I love the picture! I was thinking about Hannah all day yesterday. I am glad she had a good party. I can't believe she is 9-years old! Time goes by so fast. Man, I miss her. I miss all of you. We had Carrabba's for dinner and we were all talking about the three of you. Wishing we could be having Carrabba's WITH you. Feeling a little sad that we won't be visiting you again in Lakeland, but looking forward to visiting you in your new home in NC.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH!! I love you! Love, Elissa
