Hello everyone and happy Valentine's day. I love all of you and wish I could see you on this day celebrating LOVE.
Yesterday Hannah went to visit the psychologist. It went fine, was a little less eventful, but it was a time of gathering background information, so it wasn't expected to be a fix all sort of appointment. Hannah talked pretty openly about her feelings and a lot of her sadness comes down to missing Florida and particularly her friends Mary & Anna. The psychologist didn't seem to feel Hannah displayed any tendencies of being ADD, and said that it was apparent she was having trouble adjusting to the move. The psychologist confirmed many of my beliefs to a great extent and that helped me feel a little better. She gave me some direction of things to look up to help with advocacy.
We won't be doing anything extreme for Valentine's day. Keith sent pink roses to work for me and got me a small box of chocolates (because Lord knows I don't need a BIG box). He got Hannah a pot of tulips and some other fun things.I loved telling Hannah about bulbs and how they grew in my grandmother's garden in NY. I told her that we were going to plant dozens of daffodils in the spring! I was also telling her about my grandmother's peonies that were as big as a fist, how my great-grandmother used to help me pick them for my teachers and I would bring them to school with a wet paper towel in a piece of tin foil wrapped around the stems. They always had ants on them too, but not the kind that she knows about from Florida that bite. Just little black ants that liked the sweet smell.
This Friday is going to be our 10th wedding anniversary. I know many of the people who read my blog knew me before I was married, or right after I had Hannah. Can you believe it has been that long? When you think that Hannah will be 9 in March, you realize, yeah... I guess it has been that long!!, but wow, time flies.
Here's what we have experienced in the past decade together:
* Me: worked for 4 colleges, the department of labor, and became a full time stay at home mom
* Keith: worked for 4 uniform companies, one "other" company and held 8 different actual job titles in 7 different cities.
* Had a little girl named Hannah who changed our priorities, our goals, our outlook on life, and our need for a bigger house!
* We had 4 homes and lived in 3 different states (but as of right now, only one of those 4 really felt like home).
* We had approximately 30 cats, 1 dog, 2 guinea pigs, several fish, 3 parakeets (budgies), and a hedgehog named Chaucer.
* We both still drive the same cars that we did 10 years ago!
* Keith beat cancer! Score: Keith 1 cancer 0!!! Go Keith, Go!!!!
Now the fun part:
*** I have documented all of this in scrapbooks and have completed over 30 albums in the past decade!

God certainly blesses doesn't he...Isn't that a great feeling to look back over the last 10 years and see where he has brought you. So glad that he has also blessed me, to have you for a friend for 10+ years. Love You!! Sharlene
The flowes are such a pretty color. Just gorgeous.
So glad you feel better after seeing the psychologist. Mom's know their children. I hope they can help her adjust to the move and get settled in a little better. Poor sweetheart has had a tough year. I am glad she felt comfortable enough to talk that is a great start!
Awesome update on the decade! That needs to be a layout.
Hugs
Valerie
