The interview went well. I was comfortable and I liked the two ladies that interviewed me. I think it would be a nice work environment. It came down to that the assistant dean is going to work up a few scenarios regarding work hours, schedule, title, salary, etc. and will get back to me next week ("if you work _ we will pay you _." "If you want off in the summer, we will pay _ instead."). I like having options. I don't know if it will work out because Hannah gets out of school at 2 and I need to head to her school at 1:30 to get her, but if she is in a club or two afterschool (as opposed to a full blown afterschool program) it could easily be adjusted. We'll see. If it's meant to be, it will.
The campus is very pretty. They have about 1,400 students and have lots of room for expansion. No fighting for parking spaces. The offices are very nice, professional looking. The career center has a resource room that is separate. Nice stuff. Stuff I had hoped for at the other college, but instead had an poorly ventilated space that was partitioned off in the lobby of the women's dormitory. I would have heat in the winter and a/c in the summer at this college. :) That's always a plus.
Thank you to so many of you who have passed on words of encouragement this morning and last night. I really felt peace when I was in my interview today and believe your prayers helped with that.
I'm putting away paper scraps right now into their correct color coded pocket for use on projects. It's not a big deal, it's just another one of those sorting out things that has to be done as I rifle through my junk. I can see an end, and I can see the floor again, so I'm still making good progress. That's always encouraging.
We're having an icky rain day right now. I can't complain about the weather. It was just around 70 yesterday. Where's the bitter cold I was expecting by moving north? I have ski caps and gloves with the price tags still on them.
Winter's not over yet.
