Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that things seemed to have been taken care of. I got a message from Dr. T's office saying they had contacted the oncologist here and then Dr. Boyd's office (here) left a message that they got the referral from Florida and his appointment with the new oncologist would be January 4th at 3:30 pm. I'm glad I made a couple of phone calls this AM and put my mind at ease.
Today is my first real day back in the saddle and I spent a good part of it catching up on bill paying and laundry.
Keith and I signed off on paperwork from the hotel today saying that they would pay her medical expenses from the snake bite incident if we agreed to hold them harmless from this point on. Since it was something that happened outside, I think we'd have a hard time really going after them and suing the heck out of them. As long as the bills are paid, I'm fine with that. It totalled almost $20k. Half of that was for the anti-venom alone.
Tomorrow Hannah's class is having a cultural experience ... I don't know what they are calling it, that's just what we called it in HS when we'd have parties in my foreign language classes. It's their little holiday thing. They will also be dipping candles. Should be a fun day for her. She's still feeling pretty low and has slept in the car most of the afternoon as I did running around.
