Despite everything Keith has told me, I hung up things. He says we shouldn't put any holes in the walls until we are completely SURE that we know where everything is going to go and we are completely unpacked. Well, I just put up these two things with very small nails. I feel like I needed these reminders as my day goes on.
This was a wedding gift from my friend, Rhona Nunez. She gave it to me the night before my wedding. I stayed at her house with my maid of honor, Cindy, and college roommate, Heather, because there were just too many relatives at my parents' house for me to stay there with my two out of town guests. Rhona made us cocoa and a fire in her fireplace then went to bed. Part friend, part mom, part accountability groupie, and completely my sister in Christ; I love her. So, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". Isn't that what it's all about at the end of the day? This is hanging on an angled wall facing my front door. I'm hoping it is the first thing people will see when they come in.The other, "Love is worth the journey", I found at an adorable little shop
that was going out of business here. Sharlene and I went in there on a whim and there it was. There were other sweet sayings, each one of them would have been great, but this just kind of summed it all up. The journey here, the journey through healing and remission, the journey through life, the journey through a lot of hurt and a lot of growth. Love makes it all worthwhile. I've hung this over my craft room doors so that I have it there to inspire me and remind me when days are like they were this morning.

Yeah!! Putting up stuff on the walls makes it seem like home. The saying for the scrap room looks like it was made for the space. Love You!! Sharlene
