Someone told Keith that is the way to pronounce it. Mrs. Stallings is still alive and living here and that's the way she says her name.
For those of you who are here after receiving my e-mail about the change of e-mail addresses, welcome to my little blog area. It's nothing heavy, nothing deep, just a little place to jot down what has been happening. Most of it entailed the decision to move, where to move, etc. Now that we are here, it's just going to be me droning on and on about the joys of settling in.
The weather is awesome. It gets down to the high 50's at times, but most days it's in the low 80's. We are glad to not be in the path of any hurricanes this weekend as I know many of my Lakeland area friends are right now.
We are getting acclaimated to the area. It's taking some doing. Since Sharlene was here this past week, we didn't get as much unpacking done as I may have if I was lonely and bored. That was a "good/bad" thing.
We're having issues with the pets in our settling in. Maisy is able to go out unsupervised. Little Kitty Brown Toe is petrified because she went out on a harness and leash (long story) and got tangled up in the woods, so she won't go out anymore, and Alex still has a tendency to go out and keep going. Lenny is Lenny.
All that being said, the new furniture is here and is awesome. We have more than our fair share of boxes still sitting unopened and waiting to be emptied. I know more than half of it is probably junk. We still haven't found the box with the bills that needed to be paid as soon as we got here. Can someone groan with me? Paying bills is never fun, but hunting down the bills to pay them is less fun.
I want to hear about everyone's "stuff" now that I have e-mail again. We have a home phone now too, at long last. We had some grief about getting Vonage and trying to get our home security system hooked up. Since we have so many friends we want to call out of state, I wanted to get the all included long distance stuff that Vonage offered. We don't have digital phone available in our area, or that would have been the route we took.
Have a great day!
