Still waiting

We're at the in between phase. The appraisers came yesterday, came back today to take some pictures outside. With all of that out of the way, we should be finished with all of the pre-sale stuff. We may have negotiations ahead with termites and whatnot, but don't really know anything. We really don't have that much left to negotiate with.

Just went to Staples to get some packing paper -- newspaper without print. I am going to pack up a lot of my scrapbooking stuff just because I think it would be hard for the movers. Plus, I have a lot of little boxes and things that I want to make sure are wrapped up where they won't open during transit. Otherwise, there will be eyelets and brads everywhere.

Keith bought us a new washing machine and refrigerator yesterday and have it set to be delivered on the 11th! Whoo hoo! Our kitchen appliances are stainless, so he managed to find something that matches the rest of the stuff already in the house.

Our inspection went very well. Keith got to walk through with the inspector. I wish I had known that was typical. If that was the case, I would have made sure I was OUT of the house when the buyers were here all that day. It just made for an awkward afternoon.

I had lunch with my friend Karen the other day. We're hoping to get together for dinner before we go. Her daughter, Jessi, was Hannah's first friend. Jessi was in kindergarten when Hannah was born.

Sharlene and I went to the Melting Pot last night and then rented "Monster In-Law", which was cute. It seems to me that Jennifer Lopez manages to play roles where she's some wonderful, but unfortunate female who always gets rescued by a male professional. This was just another one of those movies. Compare it to "The Wedding Planner" or "Maid in Manhattan". She struggles with outside intruders saying she's not good enough for the male, etc. whatever... and eventually he convinces her that nothing else matters... Whatever!

Maybe life is like that for some, but I know in my work with women who have invested their entire future in some man and have nothing of themselves left... when the fairy tale is over, the woman is left with nothing. They go off with the knowledge that finding the next man is what's going to solve all of the problems. It is a cycle that ticks me off.

Okay, that's enough of my tirade. I think I will go finish emptying the spa.
