Hi! I'm back. I had a lot of fun with my mom and my Aunt Nancy, but I'm glad to be home. I managed to fix my outline for my paper last night instead of going to the commencement crop. I also studied for my sex final.
My favorite class was 1-2-3 Ink that's Easy. The instrcutor was really good, and I actually learned something. The class by "Weathered Door" was next to awful. I will have to take a picture of our class project. I got a number '1', mom got an '8' and the lady next to her got a lower case "i" We got to sit and paint it with acrylics. It was smaller than a dime. The calendar thing she had in our kit didn't have a calendar. ooops, they didn't come in in time. She told us to just sit there and think about all of the possibilities... The class was more of a commercial than anything else. My mom thought about the possibility of taking a nap and cut out before she even got to that point. I left shortly after.
I was missing my dorm mates from CKU WDW in 2003, who I just boneded with and laughed with the whole weekend. This time, it was just a different feel. We got a nice tackle box from ScrapYard as a participation gift and I felt it was worth it. We were also comfortable in our PJs for cropping afterwards.
We didn't get as many goodies as we did at WDW, but the stuff that we did get was actually quality stuff that I will use, vs. the stuff at WDW, which seemed to be a lot of clearance rack, can't sell it so we'll give it away, stuff.
BH is even more BH than I made her out to be. Didn't enjoy the class at all. (imaho, {lol}) It was all about basking in her presence. She didn't teach. She had pictures of SB's LO's and we got to follow the project on a powerpoint slide show that the TA flipped through, while BH walked around being a celebrity. It was a turn off. Since the LO was created by SB, it wasn't even BH simple, clean style that everyone is really in tune with.
I ordered my kitchen wallpaper tonight. Whoo hoo. That is really the last project that we have going on in the house. I'd like to tile the backsplash over the sink, but for the most part, the house is DONE once we do the wallpaper. I think it will really make the kitchen look "finished". I have to get curtains or something for the window. I'd like to get plantation shutters. Didn't want to spend the $$ after forking out the cash for the paper and border tonight, so that can wait. The wallpaper is the last of the projects that will make the house truly ours and completed. We're talking about other things down the road like windows, siding, refinishing the wood floors, etc. but we don't think we will take on any of those projects ourselves.
When I got home today I took a nap. We went school shopping for Hannah tonight and picked up several pairs of sneakers for her since she has to wear closed toe and heel shoes now. I didn't see any dress shoes that looked comfortable, so we just got her some plain white tennis shoes for skirts and stuff. She can only wear navy blue uniform bottoms at the new school. Her uniform shirts and the coolats? that I ordered from the uniform company came yesterday. Unfortunately her school supply list wasn't at WalMart, so we picked up some things, but we had no clue what she really needed.
Well, Keith's off to bed. Talk to you later!
